Master Choa Kok Sui was born on August 15th, 1952 in Cebu city, Philippines. He was a multi-faceted personality – successful business man, a chemical engineer, a prolific writer, a devoted family man and above all an ardent seeker of spirituality. Despite being born in a wealthy family, he chose a life of simplicity, asceticism and austerity. He has been acknowledged as the greatest pioneer in the field of Energy Healing in our times. He has done more than 30 years of research in the field of Energy healing. The culmination of all the work he has done is the synthesis of Science and Spirituality.
He conceptualized Pranic healing for physical, emotional and psychological wellbeing. Pranic healing uses “life force” or Prana (referred to also as Chi, Ki, Mana in other disciplines) for healing and harmonizing body’s processes and to boost the immunity. Modern Pranic Healing as a science was created in late 1987, through Master Choa’s book, “The Ancient Science and Art of Pranic Healing”. Since then, this technique has been applied successfully for more than 30 years across 120 countries. This school of energy healing is simple, powerful and effective – it has positively transformed the lives of millions of people on many levels. Pranic healing has been designed in such a way that anybody can apply it based on the described procedure after proper training.
Master Choa has also developed a system of spiritual practices called ‘Arhatic Yoga’, for seekers of the Higher Truth. Arhatic Yoga is connected to spiritual evolution of the soul and leads to soul (or self) realization. It is an amalgam of yoga traditions from various schools of thought and imbibes a plethora of practices designed to guide the students through a safe and accelerated spiritual growth. Master has constantly emphasized that Spirituality is for all and reiterated on the fact that “Truth is Universal” and hence this school of thought has been conceptualized in a nonsectarian form.
Life and Research:
Master Choa has emphasized on research – he has read through the esoteric sciences and ancient healing techniques from various parts of the world and applied these to analysis thereby arriving at concepts, theories and practical applications. He has applied rigorous validation techniques for the theoretical concepts before putting these to practical use in the form of Pranic Healing and Arhatic Yoga.
Master Choa has authored more than 30 books in spirituality as well as healing and these have been published in more than 37 languages across the globe. Master Choa’s style of writing has been well received and appreciated by millions. Complex esoteric and healing concepts have been unveiled and explained in a simple language that makes it easy to understand and put to use.
Master has always advocated that no concept or theory should be blindly followed without proper substantiation. Hence he approached both healing and spirituality scientifically, and worked on bridging the gap between science and spirituality through experimentations to validate the concepts. His theories, ideologies and methods have been the result of a fusion of deep conceptual understanding, Divine intuition and corroboration through practical applications.

Organizations established
Master Choa incorporated the Institute for Inner Studies, Inc. in April 1987 with the objective of spreading Pranic Healing, Arhatic Yoga and esoteric teachings globally.
In the last 30 years, the work of this noble institution has spread far and wide across 125 countries, in all the five continents. The Institute for Inner Studies Inc. has generated over 100,000 graduates, and carried out many charitable projects with the help of donors and volunteers all around the world.
Master Choa Kok Sui has also founded numerous humanitarian organizations including the Grand Master Choa Kok Sui Charitable Foundation and Grand Master Choa Kok Sui Trust Fund to provide feeding programs, medical assistances and providing scholarships and projects for the poor, sick, orphaned, jobless, homeless, and the needy as a manifestation of his loving-kindness and generosity.
